Student answer (Band 6.0)

Paying someone for the chores that you could not do is the possible thing to do as having a nanny to take good care of your children or a maid for household things. In this essay i will discuss these point of view according to my point of views.

In the first place, there are several ways to deal with any kind of difficulty.Having someone to do your household chores creates the job opportunity and also reduces the work burden from daily routine. For example, hiring a maid helps you lessen your stress related to household chores. As a result, you feel relaxed and enjoy a quality time with your family after your job. Moreover, working ladies could not work with their toddlers at office so they hire a nanny to look after her child at home so she could work effectively. Many people are in search of work so i belive it would be beneficial for them by earning a respectful salary.

On the second hand, people who are able to do these things should definitely try to do practices by themselves.Having said that, doing specific these household helps you stay active and healthy. For instance, housemakers are more healthier than the working ladies as they keeps themselves active by maintaining their houses. Moreover, children learns from the people they live with. To support this, babies feel protective and safe with the person they know.As a result they feel more confident and secure around their mothers.

To sum up, hiring someone for doing household chores or looking after a baby creates the opportunity for several unemployed women. Although doing these things by yourselves helps you stay healthy and active. It creates the sense of security in your child and makes the home environment enjoyable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both questions: it argues that hiring help can create employment and reduce household pressure, while also explaining why people may benefit from doing chores themselves. The examples of a maid and a nanny make the first view relevant, and the points about staying active and children feeling secure support the second. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The employment benefit is explained more clearly than the claim that housemakers are healthier, which is asserted without much support and relies on a broad comparison. The conclusion restates both sides but does not clearly resolve whether people should generally do these tasks themselves. A more explicit overall position, supported by a developed example for each main point, would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. The sequence within the first body paragraph is generally logical, moving from job creation to reduced stress and then to childcare. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical or the connection is unclear. “On the second hand” is not the appropriate contrast phrase, and “Having said that” does not clearly introduce the point that follows. Some references, such as “these things” and “they,” could also be more precise. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response uses enough vocabulary to discuss employment, domestic work, childcare, and wellbeing, including “job opportunity,” “work burden,” “quality time,” and “secure.” These choices make the main ideas understandable. However, several word combinations and forms are unnatural or imprecise, such as “do practices by themselves,” “doing specific these household,” and “creates the job opportunity.” There are also spelling and word-choice slips, including “belive” and “housemakers,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for more natural collocations and precise terms—for example, “carry out household chores,” “create employment opportunities,” and “stay physically active.” This would strengthen the range without requiring unnecessarily complex vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The essay includes both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “so,” “as,” and “although,” and most ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors occur across the response, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “children learns” should be “children learn,” and “they keeps themselves active” should be “they keep themselves active.” The opening sentence is also difficult to follow because its clauses are joined without clear punctuation, while “Although doing these things by yourselves helps…” is a fragment in the conclusion. Capitalisation and spacing after full stops are inconsistent. Check agreement and sentence boundaries, and ensure that subordinate clauses such as those beginning with “although” are attached to a complete main clause.
