IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr.John,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to request you for extension of my lease agreement. Six- month ago, I shifted in your apartment and sign the half year lease agreement.

I would like to extend my lease another six-month.

I am doing Continuing Care Assistant course and it almost complete next month. However, I applied for internship and gratefully I got reply from long term care facility. They want me to join as soon as possible. Moreover, it is six-month internship because of this quick response I changed my plans.

For the last month, I observing that shower is not working properly. It dropping water even I turn off the knob tight. Moreover, I am not able to take shower because bath tub floor got slippery. I am afraid to get injury myself if I will enter in it. I would like that you could take action quickly and solve this problem.

I hope you will approve my extension and take quick action regarding the problem.
