IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mr. Sharma,

I am writing to request you about re-making the agreement of the apartment.

Since I made an agreement to stay in this apartment about six-month, now I want you to extend this agreement. Because I want to stay longer than previous agreement. Moreover, from now, I would like to stay 1 year more at your apartment.

When I moved to your house, I was looking for a job out of town. However, I recently got an offer in your city about a job which requires a minimum of one year agreement. Therefore, I would like to stay here that time in your home.

Apart from it, there are some problem which I am facing. Firstly, all the bulbs are not lightening properly. Additionally, I do not have two keys for both of us. If you could assist with both of these difficulties, it will be great.

I hope you will consider my request and let me know as soon as you can.
