IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Hussain Sir,

I hope you are doing great. Actually, I am writing to inform you that, as my company has extended my training period for specific reasons, I have decided to stay in this house for four more months.

As you know, you got my signature on the lease papers, where it is already mentioned that I can live there for six months only, and it has been five months since I have been living here. But due to some professional commitments, I have to stay here for more time.

I request that could you please allow me to extend my stay here. Moreover, one more thing that I want to discuss about is AC that does not work properly in peak summers, and it makes hard for me to work and sleep properly. Kindly try to fix this as well.

I hope you will understand and try to do this favor for me.
