Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

Dear owner,

I am writing this letter to inform you that, I acknowledge that i have signed up agreement of 6 month here to stay on lease; however I wish to reside here now for 2 years because i recently enroll in masters program of nearest university from your apartment, and I am really comfortable here as i can get food from nearby shop and supermarket. If I change now it will be hectic for me to looking for another house and not only this i would have to adjust to and i am afraid of doing all sort of that problems now. I do not have any issue to live here as i already like this place. Another thing is that the dishwasher you provided me is not working properly since last 2 days. I tried to clean machine from bottom if their is any debris which cause to stop working machine but still no work. I would really appreciate if you look into this matter.
