Dear, Sir/ Madam

I am writing to inform you that I want to extend my agreement .

You know that I am living in your apartment from last two months with six months agreement but now I want to stay their for more then six months approximately for a year.

The major reason behind this is that I like to stay here due to the peacefull environment as well as I get a job near the apartment as it will convenient for me to stay here. Because while stay there I can not only save mt travel time but also travel money because my work place is just 10 mints walk from the apartment.

While , I am happy to stay here but one issue that I want to tell you is that the tap of my kitchen is not working properly . I hope you will resolve my that issue as much fast you can.

So, I hope you also happy to extend agreement with me. I am waiting for your reply.

your faithfully,

Sukhpreet Kaur

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: the duration of the extension, the reason for the change in plans, and the maintenance issue. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a landlord. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the explanation regarding the job change is repetitive, and the request for the repair is functional but lacks a polite, professional structure. To improve, you should ensure that the purpose of the letter is stated more clearly in the opening and that the request for the repair is integrated more smoothly into the overall flow of the correspondence.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your ideas. You use some basic cohesive devices such as 'The major reason behind this is' and 'While, I am happy to stay here'. However, the use of linking words is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the misuse of 'While' at the start of the third paragraph. Additionally, the transition between the request for extension and the maintenance issue is abrupt. Improving the variety of your cohesive devices and ensuring they are used with greater precision would help elevate the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your needs clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'extend my agreement' and 'peaceful environment'. However, there are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'stay their' (should be 'there'), 'mt' (should be 'my'), and '10 mints' (should be 'minutes'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the range of vocabulary displayed. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct spelling of common words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, though the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I am living in your apartment from last two months' (should be 'have been living... for the last two months') and 'as much fast you can' (should be 'as quickly as you can'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas and the formal salutation. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency of the text.
