IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sunny,

I hope you are doing great. The purpose of this letter is to get an extension from you on my stay in your apartment because it will expires on next month.

I would like to rent the apartment for next full year because I really like living here as it is comfortable, well-managed and conveniently located near my workplace.

Initially, I have planned to relocate this city, I applied in many other companies but no company was meeting my expectations so, I planned to stick with my same employer. This is my main reason to stay more in your apartment and it is very convenient for me.

I would also like to draw your attention towards the water heater. Over the past few weeks, It has been stopped working properly. I would really appreciate it if you could arrange someone to inspect and repair it at your earlier convenience.
