IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Jacob,

I hope you're doing good. I am writing you to inform that I have been living in your apartment for five and half months before. Moreover, current month is the last month according to our rental lease agreement.

However, I would like to stay in the same apartment for a year, so I want you to extend my legal agreement for next 12 months. I was thinking to move in different town before my current agreement's expiry for my new job , Nevertheless, I could not able to pass the assessment for that job, so I will have to continue at my current job, that's why I want to extend my stay legally and want to live in your apartment.

Although, there are several issue in your apartment, which I have been facing for a month. For example, a water issue and an electricity problems in the bathroom.

Thank you for understanding my situation, and I kindly request you to give extra attention to extend my further stay and please send a technician to fix the households.
