IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

Dear Mr. Smith,

I am writing to enquire about extending my current lease which will expire soon.

I wanted to renew my lease for another 12 months as I will be living in same city, also I don't want to change the house. You have been an amazing and cooperative landlord I have ever experienced.

My plan have changes, as Initially I was planning to shift to another city for new job opportunities. However, my manager offered me permanent job in my current job profile. I will have to extend this agreement because I am extremely satisfied with this apartment and the location which are perfect for my daily work.

For past few weeks I am facing issue with the heater, considering the weather is extremely cold these days. If you could send any electrician to fix this problem, It would be highly appreciated. Hope to hear from you soon.
