Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: stating the duration of the extension, explaining the change in plans, and reporting the maintenance issue. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a landlord. However, the explanation regarding your internship and the college faculty is somewhat confusing and lacks clarity, which makes the reasoning behind your request feel slightly underdeveloped. To improve, ensure that your explanations are concise and directly linked to your request to stay longer. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the reader understands your requirements, which satisfies the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Also', and 'Moreover' to connect ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as the transition 'As soon as, I saw her CV...'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between the internship and the need to extend the lease could be smoother. The paragraphing is sufficient, but the flow between sentences could be improved for a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'agreement', 'internship', and 'maintenance' (implied). However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'college introduce with one faculty' and 'how successfull she is'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. You rely on some basic phrasing, and the attempt to use more complex vocabulary occasionally results in unnatural collocations. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary and focusing on correct word forms will help you achieve a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'i want to rent', 'it last to be about', 'she want to give', and 'I can not found the solution'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors are noticeable and occur frequently, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency, as these are the most common areas where your accuracy is currently lacking.
