IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Task 1

Dear sir,

My name is Jaskaran Singh. I am writing this to request for the extension of my renting period in your apartment.

As you know we signed a agreement of six month stays five months ago, but now I would like to stay here more than one year. I was a student when I started to live here because the apartment is very close to my institute. Now, I got a job in the same collage as a chemistry teacher, therefore I changed my mind and want to extend my agreement. Moreover, the apartment is in the heart of town centre, so all stores, bus stops and parks are very close.

However, there are some problems of in your apartment like disturbances from neighbours and the space of parking lot which I think need more quick attention for the better living style of residence. . At last, I would appreciate you if you will look at my request as soon

as possible and I am look forward to hearing a good response .
