IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to inform you that now I wish to continue my stay in your apartment which was initially decided for the six months only.

To begin with, next month our rental deed will be end due to which I have to leave this beautiful condo. However, I changed my mind to relocate to new location and now I want to extend my rental agreement for next 2 years.

There are numerous reasons, why I want to continue to live in this house. First and foremost, I got the permanent job in the company which is just stone's throw away from this address. Secondly, the facilities which are provided by the society is also appreciated. Last but not least, the peaceful atmosphere here which is so hard to find in this urban area.

Apart from this, I have some minor issues as well which I think it would be mitigate on priority basis. First of all, doors locks should be replaced and taps in the washrooms are continously leaking. So, kindly fix this minor problems. To make this place more comfortable for me.
