Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

Dear MR.Uttam,

I am writing to ask that could you please extend my current stay for twelve months as I have been living here from last six months, my apartment rented duration going to finish next month.

Initially, I agreed with the six month stay in apartment, unfortunately I have changed my plan, the reason behind this is at first I wanted to move to another city for my work, However my employer offer me permanent position recently. Therefore, I would like to make a request to extend my stay in apartment.

There is one main problem in apartment that the heating system is not working from last two weeks, I would like you to inspect and repair it because the temperature in apartment is very cold.

I have enjoyed living in apartment and and have always tried to good take care of it. I would be delighted to know wheather you would be willing to extend the agreement for another year. I look forward to hearing from you.
