Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

Dear Michelle,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing this to request you to extend my rent agreement to one more year. As you know that I have signed a six-month agreement but my plans have changed, and I want it to extend it to one year.

My parents are planning to visit Canada for few months for my convocation ceremony. Earlier. I had planned to live here for six months and decided to move out with my friends in nearby area. Howerver, for my parent's trip I have decided to extend my stay here. This apartment is large enough for three of us and I believe they will also like this place.

Furthermore, it is accessbile via convenient city transport. Therefore, I would like to extend my stay here. Also, I had not faced any problems in the apartment; however microwave is not working properly from past few days. It would be great if you can send someone to fix it at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Also, please mail the update leasing documents for me to sign them.
