Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.

Write a letter to the owner of your apartment. In your letter

• say how long you now want to rent the apartment for
• explain why your plans have changed
• tell the owner about a problem in the apartment

Dear Owner,

I am writing this letter to inform you that i started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement but, now i want to extend my accomodation over here.

I want to make an agreement for renting an apartment for 12 months.

My plan is changed for making a longer lease because my internship at my job is extended from 6 months to 12 months. Before that, my internship was starting from 1st December 2026 to 30 May 2027 but, it is extended now to 1st Dec 2026 to 30 Nov 2027. So, i want to extend my lease from 6 months to 12 months.

Apart from that, there are some issues which i am facing over here. First and foremost, my stove is not working properly since i come over here. It took so long for cooking food because of low heat problem. So, if you can fix it as soon as possible it will be great for me.
