Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all three required points: you request four additional months, explain that you need to repeat a course after failing it, and report that the air conditioner does not cool the room. The reason for extending your stay is relevant and understandable, and you indicate what you plan to do afterwards. However, some details are less fully explained: for example, the timing of your diploma completion and move to your brother’s home is difficult to follow. The request to the owner could also be stated more directly and politely. A clearer explanation of the timeline and a specific request for an extension would make the letter more complete and effective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The main information appears in a broadly sensible order: the extension request, the change in your study plans, and the apartment problem. However, nearly all the content is placed in one long paragraph, so the reader has to work to distinguish these points. Connections rely heavily on repeated forms of “and,” “because,” and “so,” and the sequence in “after one month my study is complete” followed by the course and diploma details is not easy to track. Use separate paragraphs for the request and explanation, then the repair issue, and connect ideas with clearer transitions such as “As a result” and “In addition.” This would give the letter a more visible progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “agreement,” “course,” “diploma,” and “AC.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the letter less natural, such as “pick the course again,” “heat wave come in my room,” and “the AC did not cool my room.” Some errors, including “unfornutely” and “couse,” are noticeable, although the intended meaning can generally be understood. Aim for more precise phrases such as “retake the course,” “the room becomes very hot,” and “the air conditioner is not cooling the room properly.” Check spelling and use consistent, appropriate vocabulary for a formal request.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to explain several connected events and use some longer sentence forms, so the message is not limited to isolated simple statements. However, sentence boundaries and verb forms are often inaccurate. For example, “As you know that i start live here in March now its a five month” combines several ideas without correct clauses, while “i want live here” needs a verb form after “want.” There are also errors with capitalization, articles, and agreement, as in “the sunrise” and “heat wave come.” These problems sometimes make the timeline and request harder to follow. Practise separating ideas into complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns.
