Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You address all three points clearly: you request a further year, explain that a nearby full-time job has changed your plans, and report problems with the dryer and heating. The reason is supported by the practical consequence that moving back to your parents’ home would mean resigning, so the owner can understand why you wish to stay. The request to arrange a new agreement and repair the appliances also gives the letter a clear purpose. To make the response more fully developed, specify when the extension would begin or end, and give a little more detail about the faults—for example, when they started or how they affect your use of the apartment. Overall, the relevant points are clear and supported, though some details remain general.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter follows a clear, useful sequence: you introduce the request, explain the change in your circumstances, describe the apartment problems, and close by asking about repairs and the new agreement. Paragraphing helps distinguish these purposes, and phrases such as “Actually” and “Firstly” guide the reader through the information. The progression is easy to follow throughout. Some linking is a little mechanical, particularly the repeated “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and “And” at the start of a sentence is unnecessary here. You could make the connections more natural by grouping the job explanation into one flowing sentence and linking the repair request directly to the two faults. The overall organisation is clear, with some room for more flexible cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main message, including useful task-related terms such as “six-month agreement,” “full-time job,” “heating system,” and “at your earliest convenience.” However, several noticeable word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors reduce naturalness: “request you about renew” is not an appropriate way to make this request, “drayer” is misspelled, and “informe some problem” is unclear. “Near from this location” and “resign” also do not express your meaning naturally in context. These choices are generally understandable, but they make parts of the letter less fluent and precise. Build a stronger range of standard rental and maintenance expressions, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional explanation: “if i moved to my parents house then i have to resign.” This helps show the relationship between your job and your wish to stay. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur repeatedly and sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “since I started to staying” should use a consistent verb pattern, while “i changes” and “i starts” do not agree with the subject or intended tense. In “these issues need to be fix,” the verb form is incorrect. Capitalisation of “I” and punctuation around sentence openings also need attention. Practise accurate past and present forms and check each sentence’s subject and verb.
