Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requirements: you request a further year, explain that your current employer offered a promotion and satisfactory pay, and report a leaking shower with its effect on the bathroom. Your purpose is clear throughout, and the explanation gives the owner a reason for your changed plans. The problem is also specific enough to understand, and you ask for it to be fixed. To make the letter more fully developed, clarify the rental dates or whether you are asking to extend the existing agreement, and describe the leak’s practical impact a little more precisely. A more consistently appropriate opening and closing would also strengthen the letter’s presentation to the owner.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible order: request and background first, reasons for staying next, then the apartment problem and a closing request. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and connectors such as “Therefore” and “Moreover” show how the ideas relate. This gives the response a coherent overall progression. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear: “There are few reason behind this that I would like to share you in following” announces the explanation awkwardly, while the long sentence beginning “In order to better work opportunity” makes the change in plans harder to follow. Use clearer transitions and divide that explanation into shorter sentences; also make references such as “this” more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “lease,” “promotion,” “wage,” and “leaking,” and the reader can understand the request and the problem. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “satisfactory wage.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “appartment,” “suddently,” “prefered,” and “stingy smell.” Some combinations are unnatural, for example “requesting about extend my agreement” and “keep my concern in action.” Aim to learn common collocations for renting and maintenance, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate, natural phrasing would make the letter easier to read.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast between the new job offer and the promotion, and the main message remains understandable. However, errors in sentence structure and verb forms are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. For example, “I hope are you doing well” has incorrect word order, and “I am writting this letter to requesting” combines verb forms incorrectly. The sentence beginning “In order to better work opportunity” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “I’m staying here since last 6 month” uses an unsuitable tense pattern. Practise accurate request forms and present-perfect constructions, and use full stops to separate ideas.
