I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Madhuri.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you request a further six months, explain that your manager has extended your work contract, and report problems with the fridge, taps, electricity and stove. The reason for staying is relevant, though the explanation about the route and feeling comfortable is less clearly expressed and could be developed more directly. The repair request is also presented as a list, without saying how urgently the issues need attention. The letter is six words below the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length instruction. Add a little detail—for example, when the problems occur and whether you would like repairs arranged soon—to make the request more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: the first paragraph requests an extension, the second explains the changed circumstances, and the third describes apartment problems. This paragraphing helps the reader follow the main purpose, and the closing is appropriate. The sequence within paragraphs is generally understandable, but some links between ideas are abrupt. For instance, “It is convenient for me to stay” is followed by comments about the apartment’s location and route without a clear connection. The repair details also run together in one long sentence. To strengthen progression, use clearer transitions and separate the different maintenance issues into complete, well-organised sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “renew the agreement,” “extended my contract,” “tenancy,” and “minor issues,” so the reader can understand the main message. There is some variety, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “near from me,” “bring your attention at,” and “fix electricity.” “Office manger” also contains a spelling error, and “greatful” is misspelled. These slips make the letter less natural and occasionally obscure the intended meaning. Aim for precise, conventional phrases for renting and repairs, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the apartment as being close to your workplace and ask the owner to arrange repairs.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “My circumstances have changed and my office manger has extended my contract.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the letter. Examples include “I am writing to regarding,” “on a six-month,” and “I would extend the tenancy from six-months to for another six-months.” There are also agreement and article problems in “the taps is leakage” and “in the my study room.” The repair sentence joins several issues without clear sentence boundaries. Practise accurate verb patterns, articles, plurals and subject–verb agreement, and use shorter sentences when listing problems.
