Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that some are widely choosing to eat a organic food rather than buying foreign products. There are undeniable benefits to choose this trend because it has a significant impact on employement generation and health of an individual. Indeed, It is a positive trend for the farmers and public sectors.
The one of the main reasons to add a locally produced vegetables and fruits in your daily meals is to get nutritions. Food grown by farmers not only away from toxic pesticides but also fresh directly comes from farms rather than the storage areas. Therefore, if people keep eating organic products instead of using frozen products, less amount of health issues arise. In addition to this, buying vegetables and fruits from locals would be the cheaper option. This is because of no middle men cost included in the cost. Usually, buyer directly approches to the small retailer for making the purchase. This can leads to eliminate the big dealers who adds their own costs such as, transportation, packaging, and labour cost into the purchasing amount. By avoiding these miscellaneous expenses, saves plenty of money inside the consumer's pocket.
This is a positive trends for the economy. If people buy products from their local market, they are more likely to generate more jobs for posterity, which would be helpful to make the farming business as a profitable business. Although, farmer grows more vegetables in their farms, it can also accelerate the export business to deliver their own products to cold weather countries. For example, India, the most ranked country who produced highest amount of caffeine products, This allows public sector to earn more in terms of taxes and duties.
To conclude, buying products from grocery stores is not deterimental to health, but choosing to eat fresh meal more likely to generate employment and remuneration for the government.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the evaluation of the trend. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For example, the explanation regarding 'middle men' is logical, but the argument about 'caffeine products' in India is slightly tangential and does not clearly link back to the core topic of local versus imported goods. While the ideas are relevant, they could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and slightly misrepresents the initial argument by focusing on 'remuneration for the government' rather than the consumer benefits discussed earlier.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition to this,' 'Therefore,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The one of the main reasons to add a locally produced vegetables.' Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as the sentence starting with 'Although, farmer grows more vegetables...' which lacks a clear logical connection to the preceding point. Overall, the progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'toxic pesticides,' 'remuneration,' and 'employment generation.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'approches to the small retailer' instead of 'approaches the small retailer,' and 'caffeine products' when referring to agricultural exports. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, preventing a higher score. Spelling is generally accurate, but the word choice lacks the precision required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'It is often argued that some are widely choosing to eat a organic food' (article error), 'This can leads to eliminate' (verb form error), and 'the most ranked country who produced' (relative pronoun and tense error). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors with comma usage and capitalization. The frequency of these errors suggests that the writer has not yet mastered complex structures, keeping the score in the 5.5 to 6.0 range.
