Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people’s schedules are getting busier, they’re looking for someone to do their daily tasks like cleaning their house or looking after their children. This essay will discuss the benefits of delegating duties for others, and whether people should do these things themselves or not.
First and foremost, when individuals are hiring workers to help them finish their daily tasks on behalf of themselves, they create opportunities for others. In other words, it helps them to pay their bills and they can consider this job as a source of income. According to a study, the number of employees who work in cleaning services and nurseries have increased by twenty per cent due to the high demand from the public to do their routine tasks.
Secondly, the question of people should do these duties by themselves or not is a matter of debate. I believe that they can hire someone but only to some extent. For example, taking care of children should be the responsibility of parents because the child needs emotional support from his family not from the employees.
According to a recent journal is shown that kids are more likely to have emotional issues when nurses take care of them the whole time.
Another example, senior residents may need to hire people to do their household chores since they don’t have the ability to finish their daily routine duties.
In conclusion, hiring workers to do their daily work provides some perks but it should be reserved for certain tasks to prevent major consequences for children.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response is completely off-topic. The prompt asks about the reasons for consumers choosing local goods over imported ones and whether this is a positive or negative trend. However, your essay discusses the trend of hiring domestic help and childcare. Because you have failed to address the task requirements entirely, the score for Task Achievement is significantly impacted. To improve, you must carefully read the prompt and ensure your ideas directly answer the specific questions asked. You should brainstorm relevant points related to local versus imported goods, such as environmental impact, supporting the local economy, or product quality, rather than writing about a different subject.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion'. However, because the content is irrelevant to the prompt, the logical progression of ideas does not support a coherent argument regarding the actual task. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between the introduction and the body paragraphs is disjointed. To improve, ensure that each paragraph is clearly linked to the central topic of the essay and that your transition words are used to connect relevant, supporting arguments rather than just structuring an off-topic response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your ideas, such as 'delegating duties', 'routine tasks', and 'emotional support'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'delegating duties for others' (should be 'to others') and 'the question of people should do these duties' (which is grammatically awkward). The vocabulary is adequate for the level of the writing, but it is limited in its ability to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary that fits the context of the essay topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'the question of people should do these duties' and 'According to a recent journal is shown that', which interfere with the clarity of your sentences. While you attempt complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Ensure that your sentences are grammatically complete and that you use prepositions and articles correctly. Practising basic sentence patterns will help you reduce the frequency of errors that currently impede the flow of your writing.
