Student answer (Band 7.0)
In this materialistic era, habit to spend money on purchasing garments significantly increased among individuals since they are eager to keep themselves up to date while wearing stylish clothes. However, there are many customers are interested to do immense shopping from their local stores rather than using the service of importing products outside their region. In my view, it could be more advantageous if consumers relying on their local markets for buying clothes. I will discuss the causes behind this phenomenon and will support my argument.
To commence with, the main factors that influence buyers to do so are saving money and time and significant attachments with their culture and traditions. To expound, consumers who choose their nearest shops to look for the outfits can lead to save their time as well as money in excessive ways for instance, they do not need to go so far from their residences which required extra money to pay for public transport and fuel consumption if they are using their own vehicles also time normally spent on long distances. In addition, they are fascinating to wear their own country customised clothing for staying in connected with their culture heritage. Therefore, these reasons might attract customers to go for their local towns in case of doing shopping.
This scenario could introduce a positive attitude like enhancing a country’s economic growth and promoting its cultural assets. It would automatically improves local business and trade if more buyers contribute their capital on purchasing items from these enterprises. To exemplify, it can be seen in manu local markets they have huge profits margins in their business since it becomes main hub for their commuters to shop from their. Additionally, while individuals prefer to put on their own area outfits simply they can added value in it if they go out in another country or region with these styles.
In conclusion, although this trend could be a challenge for modern societies to adopt their traditional way of wearing but it seems to following by a lot of community at present which could be a positive sign for all aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for choosing local goods and the evaluation of this trend. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the reasons (convenience, cost, culture) are relevant, the explanation of the 'positive trend' could be more deeply explored with more specific examples. The argument regarding economic growth is a good start, but the connection between local shopping and 'added value' when traveling is slightly unclear. Overall, the response covers all requirements of the task sufficiently.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, although there are occasional instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'it becomes main hub for their commuters to shop from their'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the prompt.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'materialistic era' and 'cultural assets'. However, there are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'habit to spend money' instead of 'the habit of spending', and 'fascinating to wear' instead of 'keen to wear'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the writing. A wider range of more natural, academic collocations would improve the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms, articles, and prepositions (e.g., 'it would automatically improves', 'lead to save their time', 'it seems to following by a lot of community'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentence structures are constructed with greater accuracy.
