Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the present time, some people like to buy only those products which are made in their own country, instead of buying items from other nations. Local governments are also supporting this trend to support their local businesses.
The main reasons behind this trend are social awareness and government rules. Now, people are getting knowledge due to easy access to the internet. Hence, they are learning more about the interests of their country that it is a perfect way to support their nation by supporting local companies. In addition, authorities are also creating a number of rules to stop moving their currency out of their country. They are applying extra taxes on outside goods as compared to local produce. As a result, shopkeepers increase their prices and coustmers loss their intrest in outside brands.
Moreover, this behaviour of consumers has many advantages such as support for local businesses, an increase in the power of local currency and a rise in job opportunities. More demand for local usually increases the profit of companies. So, they can offer high wages to their workers and provide jobs to more people. In addition, when we reduce our imports from other parts of the world, it helps the government to minimize the outflow of local currency to save its value. Because if the supply of any currency decreases, it becomes stronger.
In conclusion, it is a perfect way to support our nation by supporting local brands. Hence, we all can be a part of the progress of our region.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, covering social awareness, government policy, and economic benefits. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the discussion on the 'positive' aspect is quite brief and relies on general assertions rather than detailed examples or a more nuanced exploration of potential downsides (such as the impact on global trade or consumer choice). To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more specific evidence or deeper analysis to ensure the response feels fully developed rather than just outlined.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices like 'In addition,' 'Moreover,' and 'As a result' to link sentences. However, the use of these devices is sometimes a bit mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, the transition between the reasons and the evaluation of the trend could be smoother. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more sophisticated, rather than relying on simple additive transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms such as 'currency,' 'imports,' and 'job opportunities.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and spelling errors, such as 'coustmers' (customers), 'loss their intrest' (lose their interest), and 'getting knowledge' (gaining knowledge). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a lack of less common or idiomatic expressions that would demonstrate a higher level of lexical control. Focusing on accurate spelling and more precise collocations will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'stop moving their currency out of their country' (which is slightly awkward phrasing) and 'More demand for local usually increases' (missing a noun like 'goods'). There are also minor punctuation and article usage errors throughout the text. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and try to incorporate more varied complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
