Some consumers are increasingly choosing to buy goods that are produced in their local area, rather than imported goods.
What are the reasons for this?

In recent years, growing number of consumers have been shown more purchasing locally manufactures items more insead of imported goods.
Overall in my opinion this is an overwhelming positive development due to its ecological and economic benefits. There are two main reasons lowhy consumers are increasingly choosing local products. Firstly,environmental concerns plays an important role.Imported items are transported over long distances through ships, trucks which is time consuming as well as costs more.
Purchasing local goods keeps money within the community ,` helpin`g local business owners for creating jobs and also costs less. In local products less packaging and less fuel is used during transportation . It also protects nature by reducing fuel and waste consumption.
