Student answer (Band 6.5)

In this contemporary era, experts have stated that more people found to incline to purchase native products over exported from abroad. Why this trend has gained popularity will be elucidated in the ensuing paragraphs. However, in my opinion, this trend would be beneficial in terms of evolving the local neighbourhood.

To commence, there could be several factors on survival of community on products which are manufactured in nearby areas. The first and foremost is that governments are fostering consumer to avoid imported products to boost their local vendors and employment. For example, Local for Vocal, is the mission for Indian ruling party in which natives are getting opportunity to establish business with the help of government subsidy. As a result the economy of India has been proliferating. Moreover, unemployment rate has been deemed significantly by 2 percent. From consumer's point of view, they can procure goods in cheaper price than imported as there is no extra duty and transportation charge from producers. Apart from this, vegetables and fruits, which are captivated locally, always found fresh than the one that kept in coolers for long time to export.

To considering this points, this persistently growing local companies obviously has fruitful impacts. Firstly, depending on native products is significantly reducing pollution as moving goods demands transportation from one to another location. Henceforth, it protects our natural habitats. Another positive point is, individual acquisite the chance to know about local culture and pass it to next generation. For instance, the costumes which are representing their culture and heritage. Last but not least, local crowd can lead to new invention and pursue omnipresent image in world like native shoes of China is famous globally.

In conclusion, promoting local products aid government to boost economy whereas consumers also get fresh and cheaper items. Therefore, it is win-win situation that is why this trend should be encouraged more.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as economic growth, employment, and environmental benefits. However, some points are slightly under-developed; for instance, the mention of 'omnipresent image' is vague and could have been explained more clearly. The example of 'Local for Vocal' is a good, specific illustration. To reach a higher band, ensure that all arguments are fully extended with clear logical links to the prompt's core question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', which help the flow. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'To considering this points' and 'Henceforth' used in a context that does not quite fit. Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task. You use some good topic-specific terms like 'subsidy', 'proliferating', and 'heritage'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'captivated locally' (likely meant 'cultivated'), 'individual acquisite' (should be 'individuals acquire'), and 'deemed significantly' (should be 'decreased significantly'). These errors occasionally hinder the precision of your expression, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms ('experts have stated that more people found to incline'), article usage, and subject-verb agreement ('governments are fostering consumer'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentence structures are slightly clunky, which impacts the overall fluency. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and focusing on accurate verb tense usage would significantly improve your score in this criterion.
