Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, customers are highly increasing to buy vegetables from villages and ignoring other country goods. Also this will give farmers to more opportunity to produce more. I generally believe that this is positive development and people will save our economies by buying through poor people.
There are several things why this is happening. The first major factor is that purchasing from local areas will save more money for many consumers. Also village pupils from local areas getting more opportunities to produce more healthy products. For example, buying form local people will inexpensive and they get money trough this option and this will make them to produce veriety of daily consume vegetables. As a result, people stays healthy and they get all products in much lower cost also makes them to introduce more products in marker.
i believe that this is a positive trend for several reasons. in my opinion, citizen will get good life and their children's as well. Also buying from farmers make them rise and also get them a good amount of money to spend on their children education. when people buy imported products, local sellers lose more money and also even they commit suicide. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for buying local and the opinion on whether it is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding economic benefits and health are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the claim that buying local prevents suicide is a significant over-generalisation and lacks logical support or nuance. The position is clear, but the supporting points are underdeveloped and rely on simplistic reasoning. To improve, you should provide more specific, logical examples and expand on the 'why' behind your points rather than repeating the same ideas in different words.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Also this will give' and 'The first major factor is that' are used, but the transitions between sentences are frequently awkward. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'local persons need money for their daily life,' which does not connect smoothly to the preceding argument. The progression of ideas is somewhat repetitive, which hinders the overall flow of the essay. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'money,' 'products,' and 'good.' There are also several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'village pupils' (likely meaning villagers or farmers), 'daily consume vegetables,' and 'make them rise.' Spelling errors, such as 'veriety' and 'marker' (instead of market), also occur. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. You should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating the same basic words throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people stays healthy'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'buying form local people will inexpensive'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some attempts at complex ones that are often grammatically flawed. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and incorrect comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and pluralisation.
