It is denable that many of customers buy things where they live rather than imported by other countries. There are many reasons for this which I will discuss in further paragraphs.
There are other reasons that why people purchase things from their local areas. Firstly, the feel comfortable when they purchase things from their local people because they trust their own people. Secondly, due to transportation. Many of people not have enough money to spend on transportation that's why they collect things from where they live. In addition to this, they want buy their own choice and comfortable to see things. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 124 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you mention reasons for buying local, the ideas are significantly underdeveloped and lack sufficient explanation or supporting examples. Furthermore, you completely omit the second part of the prompt, which asks whether this is a positive or negative trend. To improve, you must ensure all parts of the question are answered and provide detailed, logical arguments for each point. Aim to expand your ideas by explaining the 'why' and 'how' behind your statements to reach the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction and a body paragraph. However, the progression of ideas is limited due to the brevity of the text. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In addition to this', but these are used in a somewhat mechanical way. The paragraphing is insufficient, and the logical flow is hindered by the lack of development. To improve, focus on creating a clear introduction, distinct body paragraphs for each main idea, and a concluding summary, ensuring that each sentence connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. Phrases like 'buy things' and 'local people' are used repeatedly. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'denable' (likely meant 'undeniable') and 'known shoppers' (which is not a standard collocation). To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common items and more precise collocations related to the topic of consumerism and economics. Avoid repeating the same simple verbs and nouns throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the clarity of your message. Examples include 'Many of customers' (should be 'Many customers'), 'Many of people not have' (should be 'Many people do not have'), and 'they want buy' (should be 'they want to buy'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and the inclusion of complex sentence structures such as relative clauses or conditional sentences. Proofreading for basic errors is essential.
