Student answer (Band 5.5)
some buyers like to shop the products which are made from local compnies instead of importing products and there are several reasons of it. I personally support buying local products as well.
One of the main reson for chosing local stuff is, The cost that they are save in traveling expencise. that way the products prices are less then the imported products itself. On top of that, consumers also like to incourage their local manufactures by selecting their brand, that help the compnies build bigger and help the local goverments. Another reason of chosing local is, own taste, style and prefrence of product, local products are designed and made for local people.
It is a positive trend, more and more costomers are trying to local in their clothing brand, daily groceries and basic needs. The local goverments are also getting along with some good compnies which leads towards good advertiesment for going local and suppport local activities. On top that local compnies can deliver good costomer services, with having local language call centers or help centers in case something is wrong and not good with the product they can improve change it for the future . That will improve the local product quality and others will incourage to buy local. That leads towards more trust on local products instead of buying imported products.
in conclution, i like to say, there are a lot of reson to buy local and support local compnies. it is increasing for the future as well, people are getting aware that buying local will help the goverment also. thats why its in positive trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the opinion on whether it is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the point about 'traveling expenses' is mentioned but not clearly explained in terms of logistics or carbon footprint. The argument regarding 'local language call centers' is a specific and relevant point, but the overall explanation lacks depth and sophistication. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed examples and ensure that your reasoning is fully explored rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'On top of that' is used twice). Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, such as 'One of the main reson for chosing local stuff is, The cost that they are save in traveling expencise.' The lack of punctuation control also impacts the flow, making it difficult to see the logical progression between ideas. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring better sentence-level cohesion would improve this score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'reson', 'chosing', 'expencise', 'incourage', 'compnies', 'goverments', 'advertiesment', and 'conclution'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is limited to basic terms, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, you should focus on accurate spelling and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to economics and consumer behaviour.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'that help the compnies build'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they are save'), and punctuation errors, particularly with comma splices and capitalization. Complex structures are attempted but are often inaccurate, which hinders clarity. The majority of sentences contain errors, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation would significantly improve your writing.
