Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are many who believe in getting goods from their local stores rather than getting from other country is better and the ratio are increasing more and more. This could be due to many possible reason with both negative and positive view. I shall elaborate both the views and give my opinion.
The first and foremost reason would be supporting local vendors. One should always think about the community and help grow the business for example Large industries making automobile parts or heavy machineries usually carry out assemblies but getting all the required parts from their own country would be cost effective and it will boost the GDP of their home country. Second reason seems to be fast delivery as goods are not imported so no custom clearance delay or stuck delivery due to weather. You can cut short delivery time for example imported vegetables could be bad due to long travel and bad storage issue, which after delivering cause lose to the importer and the hustle with refund process.
A negative trend would be that less importing could impact global relations, for instance if due to any shortage of specific product it would be inconvenient to get from foreign land and it may cause some Issue in future for both the parties. However supporting local and your homeland should always be the priority. In my opinion the positives out weigh the negative trend as supporting local will create more entrepreneur and more skilled works that each country needs to grow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the evaluation of the trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention supporting local vendors and faster delivery, the explanation of global relations as a negative trend is quite brief and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed examples or logical consequences. Your position is clear throughout, but the overall development of the argument feels slightly rushed, which prevents a more thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'The first and foremost reason' and 'However', to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions are abrupt. For instance, the jump from discussing automobile parts to vegetable delivery in the second paragraph lacks a smooth connection. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'custom clearance', 'GDP', and 'entrepreneur'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'getting from other country' instead of 'importing from other countries' and 'hustle with refund process' instead of 'hassle of the refund process'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary to express your points with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding article usage ('the ratio are increasing'), subject-verb agreement, and pluralization ('many possible reason'). Additionally, some sentences are slightly fragmented or run-on, such as '...it would be inconvenient to get from foreign land and it may cause some Issue in future for both the parties.' Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of complex sentence structures will help you achieve a higher score.
