Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowerdays people started to purchase their grocery from their surrounding wendenrs, instead of getting the one which came from different regions. There could be many causes for this issue. According to my knowledge I think it is advantgous for the local wenders. All aspects are discuss further in upcioming paragraphs.
Younger individuals are very health consious, they are always looking to comsume as much as fresh products they can. While on other hand exports fruits and vegetables takes a long ways to come. Internations foods have shorter shelflive and due to transprotation cost added they are expensive then the local foods. For example, manoges growing in mexcio are fresh and cheapers in rate, while the one which are exported by southern Asia are more expensive and due to long transportation they sometime are evern rothern on their way.
Futhermore, it is an advantage for the local seller and people as they can earn money by selling the good and people will eat healthy food. For example, a farmer could sell the good directly to the customers then the middleman cost will be reduce, in a way it would also become cheaper. It will reduce the pricing of the good evntually, which is an advantage for middle class families.
To conclude with, getting produce from surrounding and local sellers will help in many ways like money saving, good for health and local wendors are been appriciated.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for buying local and expressing a positive view. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. The arguments regarding health consciousness and economic benefits are introduced but remain underdeveloped. For instance, the example about mangoes is confusing and lacks clarity, and the explanation of the middleman's role is brief. Because the response fails to meet the length requirement and lacks sufficient depth in its supporting arguments, it falls into the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'While on other hand' and 'To conclude with'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between health consciousness and transportation costs is abrupt. While there is an attempt to use linking words, they are not always used with the flexibility or precision required for higher bands. Paragraphing is present but the content within the paragraphs lacks logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains frequent errors that occasionally impede communication, such as 'wendenrs' (vendors), 'upcioming' (upcoming), 'consious' (conscious), and 'rothern' (rotten). The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple descriptors. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or an awareness of collocation. The errors in spelling are frequent and noticeable throughout the text, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'people started to purchase their grocery' (should be 'groceries'), 'exports fruits and vegetables takes' (should be 'imported fruits and vegetables take'), and 'they sometime are evern rothern'. Punctuation and subject-verb agreement are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures limits the score. You need to focus on proofreading for basic errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
