Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this highly pacing world and a busy lifestyle, advancements took its place in its own way. To make our lives more easier, imported goods are been produced in large numbers. Whereas people still look forward to get local goods which is healthier and safer option to consume for a long run.

Initially, customer always falls for attractive advertisements on imported food items due to hectic schedules. But in a long run people understood the pros and cons. Local foods are now in high demand as people understood the process and unhealthy effects of imported food items. For example, canned food lead to botulism which is dangerous for health. So people do prefer homemade recipes for preservation but not the chemical based food ITEMS.

I personally believe it is a optimistic choice, a step ahead towards a healthy living. After understanding the actual process of formation and importation of goods. Consumer finds more benefits in local produced. Awareness about these adulteration has really changed mindsets of people those who used to find easy escape from their busy schedules in these quick food products. Now by preparing their own meals and consuming healthier items from local vendors.

However, choosing right options in daily living like usage of biodegradable products rather than plastic or non-organic chemical substances which is harmful for nature as well. For instance, using a paper bag which is good rather than poly bags which is equally harmful for health.

To the conclusion, awakening ourselves from the mysterious attractive goods to the actual reality of healthier being is a best choice a person can make. Working hard and creating a life free from imported goods is worth living then falling into a trap of advancing technologies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the opinion on whether it is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention health concerns and environmental awareness, the arguments lack depth and specific examples are somewhat generic (e.g., mentioning botulism in canned food). The position is clear, but the explanation of why this is a 'positive' trend could be more robustly supported with more sophisticated reasoning regarding economic or environmental impacts beyond just health.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is occasionally disjointed. Some transitions are mechanical or misused, such as 'To the conclusion' instead of 'In conclusion'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the third paragraph where the connection between 'adulteration' and the previous sentences is weak. While there is a logical progression, the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural, which occasionally hinders the smooth flow of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'highly pacing world' is not a standard collocation, and 'actual process of formation' is awkward. You attempt to use less common vocabulary like 'adulteration' and 'biodegradable', which is positive, but the overall control is inconsistent. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the misuse of certain terms occasionally impacts the precision of your intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('imported goods are been produced'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments ('Now by preparing their own meals...'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and verb tense consistency.
