In advertisements, companies these days generally focus that their goods and services are novel in some way. This is primarily because of increasing their sales and revenues. I personally believe that this is a positive development as it promotes the products and encourages the consumers to buy new items.

The primary reason of this development is enhancing the sales and overall growth of the companies. To obtain the higher revenue, companies often proirtize to launch the new products with unique features and qualities to attract customers, and raises the marketing of their products. As a result, companies may get more profit by promoting novel items to the consumers.

For example, smartphones are always comes with different camera features, with new battery life and updated internal softwares.

In my viewpoint, this development has a desriable impact on companies and consumers. when firms will have a new product, they have to invest money on the research before getting it into the market, so this will assist consumers to have better choices. Because of advertisements, customers have a variety of options to choose the items or services for them and they get some information about the product in the advertisements. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0

The response fails to address the prompt provided. The task asks about the reasons for consumers choosing local goods over imported ones and whether this is a positive or negative trend. However, the essay discusses the role of advertisements in promoting novel products. Because the content is entirely off-topic, it does not address the requirements of the task. While the student maintains a position regarding the benefits of advertising, this position is irrelevant to the prompt about local versus imported goods. Consequently, the response cannot be assessed for task development or relevance to the actual question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'The primary reason', 'For example', and 'In conclusion'. However, the logical progression is hindered by the fact that the content does not relate to the prompt. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between ideas is mechanical. While the structure is present, the lack of relevance to the topic makes the overall coherence ineffective in the context of the task.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'proirtize' and 'desriable', and some awkward collocations like 'raises the marketing of their products'. The range of vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'goods', 'products', and 'companies'. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'smartphones are always comes with' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'by doing promotion. of novel items assist companies' (fragmented sentence structure). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary periods used within sentences. While the student attempts complex structures, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score.
