Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people prefer to buy products which made in their own city or village rather than buying imported things. I personally believe, this is a positive trend for some people, as they dont want to spend more money but as the same time they are leaving good things behind by not using them.
First of all, people think that buying products which are made in their own area would be more trustworthy then the imported one. Because they can return those products way more easily as some of the imported products dont have warranty. Second of all, imported products are way more costly then the local products, because they are shipped from another country or city they charge shippment cost and many other charges which customers ends up paying more.
However, I also think that people who only use local products dont get benefit of using prudcts which are more effcient in use and make our things more smarter and easier to do. For example, people buy local clothes as they dont have more options, but if they import them from another city the quality of cloth and even shoes might differ as they make them with special febric which wont be availaible in local areas.
In conclusion, even if we get the transported products around all the world which way more smarter in use and has good amount of technology in it, the comfort level and satiffaction we get it from our own local products is not competable and its priceless for some people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for buying local and an evaluation of whether this is a positive or negative trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention trust and cost as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The discussion on the 'positive or negative' aspect is present but lacks depth; for instance, the argument about 'comfort' in the conclusion is vague. To improve, ensure that each point is supported by a clear, logical explanation or a more specific example. The current structure covers the requirements, but the ideas need more elaboration to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Second of all', and 'However' to signal transitions between ideas. While the progression is generally clear, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the introduction where the connection between the trend and your opinion could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'these products') is consistent will help improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'trustworthy', 'imported', and 'efficient'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'shippment', 'prudcts', 'febric', 'availaible', 'satiffaction', 'competable') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'make our things more smarter'). These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. To achieve a higher score, focus on accurate spelling and expanding your range of vocabulary to include more precise, academic terms rather than relying on simple, repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'products which made', 'customers ends up') and comparative structures (e.g., 'more smarter', 'more costly then'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas in complex sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
