Student answer (Band 5.5)

Sales of foreign products is at fall over locally produced items, Beside that few group of individuals have argued that purchasing locally prepared goods should be in demand, which have advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion this is a positive trend, And my justification is explained in upcoming paragraph with appropriate reason and suitable example.

To begin with, Due to the modern awareness it is clear that buying goods which is systhethies in own area is not only cheap than the import once but also they are made up of pure quality. on other hand , it is boosting the sales of local market and eventually affects the job market ,because of which their can be numbers of job opportunities. For examples, PM Modi has launched " atmanirbhar bharat " which pushes to buy local goods over foreign once which affects the economy of country and people leaving in the country.

Moreover, This kind of change can create awareness to young and upcoming generation , Which will create new opportunities for their bright future. By taking the local business to national and international level and genarates job market, money market and industrial market.

However, totally depending on the local goods may have some problems like the foreign companies may shut down and affect the jobs as well as economy of country, Despite that i still think that it is a positive trend because India is in top for own manufractureing own goods which will not make any major effects on economy.

To sum up, purchasing local brands over imported brands have it advantages and disadvantages ,but i strongly support the former view and the reasons behind that are explained in above paragraphs

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why local goods are 'pure quality' is not elaborated upon, and the argument regarding the economic impact of foreign companies shutting down is underdeveloped. While a clear position is maintained throughout, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific evidence, relying on general assertions. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Beside that' is used incorrectly, and the phrase 'on other hand' lacks the necessary article. Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, such as the transition between the second and third paragraphs. While there is an attempt to use linking words, the flow between ideas is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and punctuation errors, which makes the progression of the argument feel slightly disjointed at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'systhethies' (likely intended as 'synthesized' or 'manufactured'), 'genarates', and 'manufractureing'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey basic meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. You rely on simple terms like 'good' or 'things' rather than more specific terminology related to economics or trade. Improving your spelling and expanding your range of topic-specific collocations will significantly enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Sales of foreign products is at fall' and 'buying goods which is systhethies'. Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent capitalization and comma usage, such as 'on other hand , it is boosting'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are often marred by errors, such as 'because of which their can be numbers of job opportunities'. A greater focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement is necessary.
