Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, there are some customers who prefer to purchase goods which are manufacture within country rather than produced in other country. In my opinion, this is positive trend in a society.
Firstly, mostly people believe that this would be very convent for them to buy products from local vendors rather than purchasing imported goods. These products are easy to buy, return and exchange. These products are deliver very fast.
Many persons perspective are, they believe in supporting small and local venders rather than big brands. These help in building and growing startup. For example, if their is some clothing brands like H&M, Zara these very expensive but if there are some brand which are replica of some designs , then people will go to local brands. There are lot of local brands which must better than the top international brands.
Additionally, supporting the local area goods will help the country in growing GDP (Gross Domestic Production). If the countries GDP increase it will help in growing the nation. There are certain benefits also from the government side in taxes if any nations brand is increasing. Government made certain policies to make sure our country grow in beautiful manner.
In the end, there will be positive impact if we all support local good which produced within country. As these products are very convienient to buy and helps our country to grow. More the GDP increase the more we get the benefit. In my opinion, people should support the nations production rather than buy imported goods

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the opinion on whether it is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding GDP is mentioned but not clearly explained, and the example comparing H&M to local brands is slightly confusing in its logic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples that clearly illustrate the economic or social benefits you are discussing. The position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'these' or 'there are'. Some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother. For instance, the transition from discussing convenience to supporting small vendors lacks a clear linking phrase. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly improve the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'manufacture within country' instead of 'manufactured domestically' and 'convent' instead of 'convenient'. Additionally, the phrase 'beautiful manner' is not appropriate in this context. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to economics and consumer behaviour, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling to ensure your meaning is conveyed accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'mostly people believe', 'if their is some clothing brands'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically checking for pluralisation and the correct use of 'there is/there are'.
