Student answer (Band 5.5)

This is a gainsaying the truth that in this contemporary era, locally produced goods is increasing with each passing day among consumers as compared to buying imported goods. This school of brings myriad numbers of reasons and also in my eye, it is both positive and negative trend, which I will shed ligt on the below paragraphs.

There are a lot of causes of this trend. Firstly, the locally produced goods, no doubts, is pocket friendly as compared to imported goods, to explain it, tax is less on locally based products such as curd, floar, rice as comapred to fruits like bananas, pineapples, avocados and so on ,which are produced in Mexico and another southern countries. Another reason is that they can easily access to them as they do not need to wait longer to buy them because they are easily available in their area. Not only this but also, if there is any problem in that product like Samsung, Vivo,Oppo that produced in indian product, we can easily sort out that by replacing their parts.

This brings both bag of bone and bane. On positive side, we can develop our own country economy and boost up sales also, which creates abundant number of job opportunities among local people. On the other hand side, by not dealing with imported goods with other countries put an adverse impact on the relationship among our countries. Also, we do not get a chance to taste and use another nations product which is definately comes with different experiences.

To conclude, no doubts, there are a lot of reasons of incraesingly chossing to buy locally produced as comapred to local but its both impacts-positive and negative imapct on our nations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation regarding 'pocket friendly' goods is clear, but the argument about Samsung/Vivo being 'Indian products' is factually confusing and lacks depth. The position on whether the trend is positive or negative is stated, but the discussion remains brief and lacks specific, well-supported examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed reasoning and clearer real-world examples rather than listing points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'This school of brings myriad numbers of reasons' and 'This brings both bag of bone and bane'. The latter is an incorrect idiom. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas feels abrupt. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the presence of awkward phrasing hinder the flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'gainsaying the truth', 'bag of bone and bane', and 'southern countries' (when referring to imports) show a lack of precision. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as 'floar', 'comapred', 'ligt', and 'incraesingly'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic meaning, it lacks the range and accuracy required for a higher band. You should focus on learning collocations and ensuring correct spelling of common terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies on a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'locally produced goods... is' and 'product... that produced'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and basic sentence structure would be highly beneficial.
