Student answer (Band 6.0)
IMPORT AND EXPORT THE GOODS IS ONE OF THE IMPORTANT PART OF THE COUNTRY. INSTED OF BUYING AN IMPORTED GOODS SOME POEPLE PREFER TO BUY A LOCAL GOODS THAT PRODUCED BY A LOCAL PEOPLE.IN THIS ESSAY I WILL DISCUSS ABOUT THE REASONS FOR THIS AN GIVE MY OPINION ON THIS VIEW.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, TO ENCOURAGE THE LOCAL BUSINESSES SOME CONSUMERS ARE PREFER TO BUY LOCAL FOODS AND OTHER STUFF FROM THE LOCAL VENDORS. ALSO, BY ENCOURAGING THIER LOCAL GOODS THEY CAN IMPROVE THE FINANCIAL CONDITION OF THEIR FAMILY. MOREOVER, LOCAL GOOD ARE MUCH CHEAPER THAN THE IMPORTED GOODS AND BETTER IN QUALITY AS WELL. FOR EXAMPLE, TRANSFER THE ONE PRODUCT FROM THE ONE PART OF THE WORLD TO OTHER TAKE MUCH LONGER TIME SO ITS AFFECT THEIR QUALITY AND ITS TAKE SO MUCH COST AS WELL. NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO BUY THAT PRODUCT SO THEY PREFERRED TO CONSUME LOCAL FOODS.
ON THE OTHER HAND, THE ADVANTAGES OUTWEIGH THE DRWABACKS. IT WOULD BE SUITABLE IF WE SUPPORTED OUR LOCAL BRANDS,SINCE WE WOULD BE ABLE TO ECREASE UNEMPLOYMENT. ALSO, OUR LOCAL VENDORS WILL BE BALE TO COMPETE WITH OVERSEAS PRODUCTS DUE TE HEALTHY MARKET.FOR INSTANCE, IN INDIA PEOPLE PREFER TO BUY THEIR NATIONAL BRAND INSTED OF INTERNATIONAL ONES IN. TERMS OF HELPING POOR INDIVIDUALS TO FIND A PROPER JOB
IN CONCLUSION, IT IS VITAL TO PURCHASE LOCAL PRODUCTS RATEHR THAN OVERSEAS ONES IN TERMS OF FINANCIAL PROFITS AND MARKET ENLARGEMENT.MOREOVER, IT IS CRUCIAL TO MENTION THAT THE POSITIVE ASPECTS OUTWEIGHT THE NEGATIVE ONES BASED ON THE REASONS THAT I CLARIFIED THEM ABOVE

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local goods and the opinion on whether this is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention financial benefits and quality, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the example regarding India is relevant but could be expanded to better illustrate the economic impact. The position is clear throughout, but the response would benefit from more detailed explanations to move beyond a general overview. Ensure that each reason is fully explored with a clear link to the prompt to achieve a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'most importantly', 'also', 'moreover', and 'in conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother; for example, the transition between the reasons for buying local and the opinion on the trend could be more sophisticated. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by ensuring each sentence clearly builds upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'good', 'stuff', and 'products'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'INSTED', 'POEPLE', 'THIER', 'DRWABACKS', 'ECREASE', and 'RATEHR', which detract from the overall quality. To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations. For example, instead of 'improve the financial condition', you might use 'boost the local economy' or 'enhance financial stability'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some consumers are prefer'), article usage (e.g., 'the one product'), and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'transfer the one product... take much longer time'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be highly beneficial.
