There is no shadow of doubt that most of the people prefer to spend money on domestic goods instead of imported ones. considering this fact, that dwellers choose domestic goods over foreign ones because of price factor, comfort zone and other reasons. whether this a positive or a negative trend will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, the reason why consumers are increasingly choosing to purchase things which are produced locally because these goods are less expensive as compared to other ones. To elaborate this, as there is no imported duties on domestic goods as well as easily available in market with a bulk. For example, last year a survey was done by Market community in order to know people's preference over the products, they found that 8 out of 10 person loved to use their local products as they feel connected. Therefore, they choose local ones over foreign ones.
Moving to toward the trend, whether it's positive or a negative trend i personally, believe from the point of view a country's economy then its a positive one as people consume more and more goods that produced in their domestic area. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the evaluation of the trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention price and 'comfort zone' as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The example provided regarding the survey is vague and lacks specific detail. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more depth—for example, explaining how local production reduces carbon footprints or how it specifically impacts local employment rates. Your position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments need more thorough elaboration to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'To elaborate this', and 'Moreover'. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Moving to toward the trend'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as the use of 'this thing' to refer to complex concepts. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'domestic goods', 'imported duties', and 'self-efficient'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'comfort zone' (which does not fit the context of consumer habits) and 'in a bulk'. There are also minor errors in collocation, such as 'benefit are nation' instead of 'benefits our nation'. To improve, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('8 out of 10 person loved', 'this thing help'), missing articles ('in market', 'from the point of view a country's economy'), and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. To achieve a higher band, you need to increase the frequency of error-free sentences and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules like pluralisation and article usage.
