Student answer (Band 5.0)

`Although there is all of goods either imported or exported but some people have their own choice to make them satisfied. Now a days thousands of the things comeing from abroad for example oil. it also depends on the price of those. this is a postive trend for most of them who wants to buy good which is produced in their local area.

firstly, as i mentioned earlier some consumers are increasingly choosing to buy good that are produced in local area beacause of their trust. for example farmers produce rice and cotton every year with their own hands. it is a faith that they know there is not chemical in that then why they would choose anything imported which they do not know anything about the product. it is not only about the product but also they have some doubts on the manufacturing of that. moreover, some imported thing are made from chemical and machine work such as package things like candies or machine eggs.

secondly, i think people only purchase imported goods beacuse they do not any thing about the product or they dont care about it. Afterthat, it is necessory for everyone to think about their health not just on their prices. for example who lives in big cities they dont have qa time to search about material they only go and have it without reading on packet. this is a main cause. rural people always choose handmade goods and trusted rather than urban people choose every thing convienent.

in conclusion, i would also choose local area goods beacause i am always worried about my health and i would love to spend more on pure food without any mixed chemicals. Also we all are having some bond with our fiends we really want to have those things which are grown nearby infront of our eyes. i do not trust any of the imported goods which they came from another countries and some food they has to store in fridge for many days with the injection which cause bad health diseases

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for choosing local goods and the opinion on whether this is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention trust and health as reasons, the explanations are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the argument about 'machine eggs' or 'injections' is vague and lacks a clear logical link to the broader economic or social context of the trend. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported point rather than repeating the same general concerns about chemicals and health.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Afterthat' and 'firstly/secondly' are used, but the transitions between sentences are frequently abrupt. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'this is a main cause,' where the antecedent is ambiguous. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence flows logically from the previous one, rather than relying on simple list-like transitions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'things,' 'good,' and 'product.' There are also several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'qa time' (likely a typo) and 'package things.' The expression 'have some bond with our fiends' is also unnatural in this context. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise terminology related to the topic, such as 'locally-sourced produce,' 'food safety,' 'supply chain,' or 'consumer preference,' and avoid relying on generic nouns.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('some imported thing are'), article usage ('the things'), and sentence structure ('Although there is all of goods... but some people'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many missing commas and run-on sentences. While you attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing plurals or incorrect prepositions.
