Student answer (Band 6.0)
More and more consumers nowadays prefer to purchase thigs that are manufactured in their residential areas instead of imported it from another place. Because of lower tranportation cost and more reliability of product. I believe this is positive trend because it encourages to local vendors, promotes local products and helps to reduces Country's debt. Both the reasons as well as positive aspect of this trend elaburated in the ensuing paragraphs.
The main reason that people chousing to buy the product which produced in their local areas is lower trasportation cost. Import the goods from another places is required high transportation cost which is farmore then the cost of transportation cost of local poroduct. People required to pay extra, as a result they prefer to purchase from the shope nearby. For instance, If gujarati people imported woolen cloths from kasmir instead of purchase it from their local handloom shops then they are required to pay high delivery cost.
Prefer to Purchasing goods of local areas is contributes alot in country's growth and local vendors growth as well. It promotes local brands. It encourage local manufacturers and new startups of the county. Which can leads to more empolyment opportunities. As result country's growth increase and the economy become more strong and stable. I firmly believe that it is positive
trend beacuse it promotes local brands,
creates employment opportunities, also

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for buying local and the opinion on whether it is a positive trend. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation regarding 'reliability' mentioned in the introduction is not explored in the body paragraphs. The examples provided, such as the Gujarati woolen cloth or the Indian dates, are relevant but could be more effectively integrated to support the argument. To improve, ensure that every point mentioned in the introduction is fully developed with clear, logical reasoning in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'Which can leads to' and 'As result' are used incorrectly to link sentences. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Which can leads to more empolyment opportunities', where the antecedent is vague. Paragraphing is present, but the transitions between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'thigs', 'tranportation', 'shope', 'empolyment', 'elaburated') and word choice issues (e.g., 'imported it from' instead of 'importing them from'). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'manufactured', 'vendors', and 'startups', the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on accurate spelling and using more sophisticated collocations to express ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'People required to pay', 'Which can leads to'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'Import the goods... is required'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and sentence fragments. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the response from reaching a higher band score.
