Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays people are highly selecting to purchase items that are produced in their local area instead of imported things. Although, there are some issues of this opinion, it has postive impact on community and environment, which I will elaborate in upcoming paragraphs.
Initially, people are buying things from locality. The main reason is fresh and better quality. In other words, community of people love to purchase things from nearby areas, because they think that it has better quality of freshness, which is useful for them. Another thing is, there is no chemicals are included in these things. To explain it, because imported products has lots of chemicals and pesticides, which is not beneficial for person's health. As, they always prefer to buy items from their neighbourhood. For exmple, In India, state of Assam people love to buy tea leaves from their area rather than imported. Because it is very fresh and useful.
On the other hand, it has positive impact of buying products from their local surroundings. Firstly, if people purchase things from their local vendors, they can enhance their income by purchasing things. As well, they can supports their country economic by buying things, which may be useful for their farmers growth. Moreover, one more thing is cheaper. Imported things are expensive as compared to exported things. Individuals can afford things from their local vendors. Not only good for farmers but also it is very useful for country growth.
In conclusion, so people always give preference to buy things from their nearby locality just because of fresh and better quality of items. As well as, it has optimistic points of this trend first is economic growth and second is farmers may earn good amount of income from local area people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for buying local and the evaluation of the trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention freshness and economic growth, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the explanation regarding chemicals is vague, and the economic argument could be more sophisticated. To improve, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating the same benefits. The position is clear, but the overall development remains at a basic level, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Initially', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as starting a sentence with 'As, they always prefer...' or 'As well, they can supports...'. Additionally, the flow within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by repetitive phrasing. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns and references clearly point back to the intended subjects.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple terms like 'things', 'good', and 'useful' repeatedly. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'highly selecting to purchase' instead of 'increasingly choosing to purchase' and 'supports their country economic' instead of 'supports their country's economy'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to economics, agriculture, and consumer behaviour, and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('there is no chemicals are included', 'they can supports'), article usage, and sentence fragments. For example, 'As, they always prefer to buy items from their neighbourhood' is grammatically incorrect. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms in complex sentences.
