Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's world, some people believe that consumers are purchasing goods that are produced in their local community other than imported products. The main reasons behind these trends are easy to accessible and goods values among people. In this esssay, I will explain these reasons in detail .Moreover, I strongly believe that this is a positive trend.

Firstly, one of the main reasons is that people can accessible these products within their reach, which helps them to solely rely on locally produced goods. In the long run, consumers can purchase these products even after selling items in a lesser time period. Secondly, many people in this contemporary epoch are interest in purchasing local products due to their less chemical content, and easily affordability. For instance, locally produced clothings are very cheap for people to purchase reather than buying branded items. Hence, these are the main reasons why people looks more on while choosing good, nowadays.

Secondly, I belive that this is a positive trend because this behaviour of people's can save the local culture, heritage as well as product's sustainability. If people choose to purchase importend products, there is a higher chace that locally produced items can cause an extinction sooner or later. Secondly, the more they adopt imported products, the lesser will be their values within peopl's lives. For example, the majority of people, especially children reduse the use of impored cloths and started using locally prodused once due to its quality and price.

In conclusion, nowadays, people depend more on accessibility. These products and cultural values when purcahsing any items. Hence, I believe that it is a positive trend. In addition, this tend will significantly helps to restore local cutrue and heritage, regardless of the developments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The student addresses all parts of the prompt by identifying reasons for buying local goods and clearly stating a position that this is a positive trend. Ideas are presented, such as reduced chemical content and supporting local culture, but some points lack full extension and suffer from confusing phrasing, such as 'easy to accessible and goods values among people'. The response attempts to cover both causes and the evaluation required, but the arguments are occasionally underdeveloped and repetitive. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.5 to 6.0, matching the descriptor for addressing all parts of the task while having some under-developed ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organized into clear paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a coherent overall arrangement. However, cohesive devices are often faulty or mechanical. For example, using 'Secondly' twice in the second and third paragraphs disrupts logical progression. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as 'these products' or 'these are the main reasons why people looks more on'. Paragraphing is used, but internal transitions and cohesive ties need more flexibility and accuracy. This aligns with Band 5.0 descriptors, where some organization is present but cohesion is inadequate or repetitive.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate to the topic, such as 'contemporary epoch', 'sustainability', and 'extinction'. However, there are frequent word-choice, collocation, and word-formation errors throughout the response. Examples include 'easy to accessible', 'goods values', 'easily affordability', 'importend', and 'prodused once'. While the vocabulary used is sufficient to communicate the general message, these noticeable errors impede precision and pull the score down. This reflects the Band 5.0 descriptor, featuring a limited but minimally adequate range with noticeable errors causing some difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional clauses like 'If people choose to purchase importend products, there is a higher chace...'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and agreement, such as 'this behaviour of people's can save', 'people looks more on', and 'reduse the use of impored cloths'. Punctuation errors and missing spaces before punctuation marks are also visible. Because complex structures are frequently faulty and errors recur, the writing fits the Band 5.0 category where a limited range of structures and frequent errors occur.
