Student answer (Band 5.5)

The importance of indigenious products are increasing among the people nowadays. The reason may be that the products are tustworthy for customers considering various duties of imported goods. I think this trend has hidden plus point of helping own country by buying only local goods.

To begin with, the local business can get the benefit if people go for the made in own country products. To elaborate, The local vendor always gets the raw material cheaper and even after profit, it is still affordable for middle class to get the quality products. It is win-win situation for both, not only customer is happy with the guranteed products but the vendor also getting his profit. The local businesses grow on these kind of deals.Including that, it also helps in need of employment where local people can get the jobs and improved the lifestyle. Eventually, it directly affects the GDP of the country.

Moreover, people do not need to wonder for the products and services even if they are capable of getting the product. As an epitome, the expensive sneakers of The Cross brand , which available in foreign countries only. Some of the customers want to buy the product but they have to suffer for the extra taxes and if they got it,it is obivious that they can not get any easy customer services overseas. If the same quality is available with free delivery in own country product then customer is saving time and money by contributing and supporting own country made product without suffaring.

All and all, where to buy product from is always customer's choice but if they are buy local goods then it is the biggest impect on country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing reasons why consumers buy local goods and offering an opinion on whether this trend is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the opening statement that 'the importance of indigenious products are increasing' introduces a relevant point, but the subsequent explanation regarding trustworthiness lacks depth and specific support. Similarly, when discussing the positive nature of the trend through the example of foreign sneakers, the argument is somewhat unclear and difficult to follow, showing only a partial address of the prompt requirements with limited and repetitive reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organisation with attempts at paragraphing, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, such as the overuse of transitional phrases like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover' where the logical connection between sentences is shaky. Referencing is also not always clear, as seen in the transition into the example about foreign brands, which makes the progression of ideas feel disjointed and mechanical rather than flowing naturally from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors and issues with word choice and spelling, such as 'indigenious' instead of indigenous, 'tustworthy' instead of trustworthy, 'guranteed' instead of guaranteed, and 'obivious' instead of obvious. These errors stem from a lack of precision and cause some difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, but inaccurate collocations and word forms prevent the expression from achieving clarity or flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences and basic complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and articles, such as 'The importance... are increasing', 'the local vendor... also getting his profit', and 'if they are buy local goods'. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, also persist throughout the text. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader in following the intended meaning.
