Student answer (Band 6.0)

A large count of individuals prefer to purchase goods from the local vendors which are produced locally rather that getting them imported from other places. There are various significant reasons behind this approach such as trust and quality issues. I strongly believe that this is a positive trends for many good outcomes.

The biggest reasons behind people to choose the local markets is their faith and trust. To elaborate on it, Unlike imported good people can go to the local shops and are able to try on or look for the quality of goods which gives a different level of satisfaction. To examlify, By choosing local products people can find best-to-best quality by visiting a shop and get it exchanges quickly if there are any issues. Moreover, not only does choosing local markets is trustworthy but also fast. To explain it, Importing the goods takes some days to be shipped which is not a matter of concern of shopping locally which leads to save a lot of time of people.

The reasons that make it a really good trend is that local marklets are growing. If people shop from the small-scale shops regularly then it helps them to grow which contributes in the economical growth as well. The more local businesses will grow the more employment rates will boost whic can result in the win-win situation for both public as well as the government.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly hold the view that this is a positive trend with numerous wonderful outcomes the growth of general public and the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both parts of the question: trust and the ability to inspect goods are offered as reasons, and you clearly state that buying locally is positive. The points about supporting small businesses, economic growth and employment are relevant, with a brief explanation of how they benefit the community. This meets the task well overall, and your position is clear. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For example, the claim that local goods offer better quality is asserted rather than supported with a specific example, and the point about faster access could be explained more precisely. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a concrete example and clarify how it leads to the stated benefit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining reasons, a paragraph on the positive effects, and a conclusion that restates your view. Ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “To elaborate on it,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This gives the essay coherent organisation. At times, however, the links feel mechanical or the relationship between ideas is not fully clear. For instance, the paragraph beginning “The reasons that make it a really good trend” shifts from reasons for buying locally to benefits for the economy without a clear transition. Use topic sentences that distinguish these functions, and connect each supporting point more directly to the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “local products,” “imported,” “small-scale shops,” “employment rates,” and “economical growth.” These choices make your main ideas understandable, and you attempt a range of expressions to explain trust, quality and economic benefits. However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the language less natural and sometimes slow the reader. Examples include “A large count of individuals,” “best-to-best quality,” “win-win situation,” and misspellings such as “examlify” and “marklets.” Some phrases also repeat general terms such as “good” and “growth.” Aim for more precise, conventional collocations and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “Unlike imported good people can go to the local shops” and the paired structure “not only … but also.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, there are several errors in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “not only does choosing local markets is trustworthy” combines incompatible verb patterns; “which leads to save” uses an incorrect infinitive pattern; and “the more local businesses will grow” does not form the intended comparative structure. There are also issues with articles, plurals and punctuation, such as “imported good” and the capitalisation after “To elaborate on it,”. Review these patterns and proofread complex sentences for accurate verb forms and agreement.
