Student answer (Band 6.0)
Local products are widely accepted by the consumers these days rather than imported products. I believe that it is a positive trend and I will discuss the reasons in the upcoming paragraphs.
First reason is freshness of products. For instance fresh fruits and vegetables, these are healthy and fresh to eat. In food markets, food items are imported and then stored by using chemicals so that these can stay fresh for longer periods. But in fact, these are not healthy to consume and can have detrimental effect on the health of consumers. Therefore, people are opting to local food items over imported ones.
Another reason is awareness. Nowadays, people are aware about the things and their health. Technology has transformed the life of people in many ways. Several videos are available on social media which shows how the goods are prepared, stored and transported and even the hygiene of products. For instance, a news broadcasted few years back that Maggie, most widely used food item, used plastic in its making process. Due to this awareness, consumers stopped buying this products.
Furthermore, Economic growth is an another reason. People get encourage to start their own business, which generate job opportunities in the neighbourhood that leads to improvement in the quality of life of people and standard of living.
Overall, I strongly believe that choosing local goods has more positives. It is beneficial for overall health of people and it helps to create job opportunities which is good for economic growth of country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for choosing local goods—freshness, consumer awareness and employment—and clearly state that you see this as a positive trend. The examples about food storage and the news report help make the first two reasons relevant. However, the reasons are not developed equally: the economic-growth point is brief and its link to buying local goods is asserted rather than explained. The claim about imported food being unhealthy is also broad and would be stronger with a more qualified explanation or a specific example. Your position is clear, and the response shows some development, but fuller explanation and support across all points would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons, and a concluding statement that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “First reason,” “Another reason,” and “Furthermore” make the progression easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical, however, and the paragraph about awareness moves from social-media videos to a product-safety example without fully explaining how this leads consumers to prefer local goods. The opening sentence of the freshness paragraph is also a fragment, which interrupts the flow. To strengthen cohesion, use more varied transitions and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “imported,” “detrimental effect,” “hygiene,” “job opportunities,” and “economic growth.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some less common language is attempted. At times, however, word choice and collocation are inaccurate or repetitive: “widely accepted” is less precise than a phrase about consumer preference, “aware about” is not the natural collocation, and “people get encourage” does not express the intended idea accurately. Repeated use of “products,” “people,” and “fresh” also limits variety. Aim for more precise phrases such as “locally produced goods” and “support local businesses,” while checking collocations and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which generate job opportunities” and a result clause beginning “so that these can stay fresh.” The meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain and limit accuracy. Examples include the fragment “For instance fresh fruits and vegetables, these are healthy and fresh to eat,” the agreement error in “which generate,” and the article and form errors in “an another reason” and “people get encourage.” There are also punctuation and sentence-boundary issues, such as the comma after “For instance” and the long sentence beginning “Several videos are available.” Practise complete sentence structures, subject–verb agreement and articles, then proofread for punctuation.
