Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people thinks that, this trend is increased day by day, buying imported goods.Their product are import for other countries. People are choosing to buy goods that are produced in their local area, the reason for this, these product are cheap and costly. This is because due to tax pay this cost is very high. But on the other hand these product which i made on our industries are very good quality rether then imported goods. This is a positive trend to buy local product in local areas. Furthermore, we pay the orignel amount with out paying heavy tax. For example if we bought a local leather jacket , its costs 5000 we pay and buy this jacket , rathrer then imported leather jacket same as feature we buy with heavy tax
like up to 6000 for price . We pay the huge tax . So i am with this view point this is a positive trend to buy local goods. Some people argued that , they can not compromise the quality, they bieleve that if a quality is best automatically this product is cheap and costly. Man can satisfied to perchasing the things . That is why public can trust the imported things , and prefer to buy it . It is on your budjet, which one you can afford this .
To sum up with this consumers are increasingly choosing to buy goods that are produced in their local area, rather than imported goods. In the light of my personal experience local products are more reliable rether than imported things because of heavy pricing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear overall view that buying local goods is positive, and you offer relevant reasons: local products may avoid heavy import taxes, and you suggest they can be good quality. The leather-jacket comparison is a useful attempt to support your point. However, the reasons for the trend are only partly explained, and the opposing view about imported quality is introduced but not clearly evaluated. The response also falls short of the required 250 words: 235 words were counted, and 29 words copied from the task prompt were excluded. Develop each reason with clearer explanation and a specific example, and make your position consistent when discussing the counterargument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a recognisable overall sequence: you introduce the trend, state that it is positive, give a price example, mention a contrasting view, and conclude. Connectors such as “Furthermore,” “But on the other hand,” and “To sum up” help signal these stages. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the introduction, supporting reasons, counterargument, and conclusion. Some links are also unclear or repetitive, particularly the movement from local quality to imported quality and then to affordability. Use separate paragraphs for these functions, and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical order.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “imported goods,” “local products,” “quality,” “heavy tax,” and “reliable.” These terms make your main subject understandable. However, the range is basic and several word choices or spellings make parts difficult to interpret, such as “cheap and costly,” “same as feature,” and “on your budjet.” Repetition of “product,” “buy,” and “tax” also limits precision. Choose vocabulary that expresses the intended comparison accurately, and check spelling and collocations. For example, distinguish clearly between a lower price and a higher cost, and use phrases such as “import duties” or “locally manufactured goods” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “For example if we bought a local leather jacket.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “Some people thinks,” “Their product are,” and “these product,” where subject–verb agreement and plural forms are not controlled. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also problematic: the opening contains a comma splice, while the jacket example runs on and is difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with clear clauses. Check agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation when editing.
