Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is widely acknowledged that goods choosing method, has become an increasingly contentious issue in comprary society , While some proponets assert that some peoples choose to buy goods that are produced in their local area, i firmly contend that my opinion is we need to buy goods from big stores becsue they have more varity. This eassy will critically examin the issue before reaching a balanced onclusion.
To commece with , one compelling justification my opinion is need to buy goods form imported store . The stores have more varity of items od food , medician , daily useable things and one place we can buy any thing. This is largely attributed to example like imported stores have goods quality best and various varity of things are avaliable in the one place .As a result , it is a reasonable to infer the result local produceds are not good quality.
Another pivotal consisderation is the second in the local markets they just sell the things they do not check the expiry and highgenk food which is not good for our health .From a broader perspective is example is dirty things like snacks fry in dirty oil and expire things which are not good for health , this may give rise signficiant development in area.A pertinent the ressult is health issues , which clearly undersecore the potential impact of this trend .
To recapitulate , adopting although differing viewpoints persist the perponderance evidence supports the view that my opinion local goods are not good for our health. Therefore , adopting the approach appear both pergemtice and beneficial in the long term.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response attempts to give a position, but it does not adequately answer both parts of the question. The opening says consumers choose local goods, yet the writer’s stated view is that people should buy from “big stores”; this does not clearly establish whether the trend of choosing local goods is positive or negative. The body paragraphs mainly criticise local markets for limited variety and possible hygiene problems, rather than explaining why consumers increasingly prefer locally produced goods. The claim that local products are “not good quality” is broad and unsupported, and the conclusion repeats this judgement without resolving the question. To improve, explain specific reasons for the preference—such as freshness, supporting local jobs, or environmental concerns—and evaluate the trend with relevant examples. (The response meets the stated length requirement; 10 words copied from the prompt were not counted.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a recognisable attempt at an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “To commence with” and “To recapitulate” signal stages of the response. However, the ideas are not arranged coherently: the introduction shifts from local goods to buying from big stores, while the body paragraphs discuss imported stores and local markets without a clear line of argument. Several linking expressions are inaccurate or do not show the intended relationship, including “A pertinent the result” and “this may give rise significant development in area.” References such as “this trend” are also unclear. Build each paragraph around one clear point, explain it in sequence, and use simple, accurate links between claim, explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The writer attempts some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “imported,” “variety,” “expiry,” and “contentious issue.” However, the range is basic and often repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make the message difficult to follow. Examples include “comprary,” “proponets,” “medician,” “hygienk,” and “perponderance.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “goods choosing method,” “daily useable things,” and “goods quality best.” These problems strain the reader’s effort to understand the argument. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; use precise terms such as “locally produced goods,” “product range,” and “food safety” rather than assembling formal-sounding phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response shows an attempt to use both simple statements and longer structures, including “While some proponents assert…” and “which is not good for our health.” However, sentence construction is very limited in control, and frequent errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning. For example, “one compelling justification my opinion is need to buy goods form imported store” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “The stores have more variety of items … and one place we can buy any thing” joins ideas without a correctly formed clause. Articles, plurals, agreement and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “a reasonable to infer the result.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; proofread for complete clauses, articles and sentence boundaries.
