Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays people increasingly tend to buy local produce on the area where they reside in, rather than buying imported goods. I think that many individuals wanted to make a change on the economy that their in so that they tend to buy produce to local farmers to support them on their living. Unlike the government makes the economy go bad like buying imported goods on different countries, rather than supporting the local farmers.
The possible reason of consumers wanted to buy local products is to promote and support it. For example the local brands like Del Monte which is a leading brand in the Philippines where they produce beverages like sodas and fruit juices, using the locally harvested fruits to make the beverages also other products. The farmers have a continues supply of payment that they agreed on by the company so that they will not suffer but also benifit from it.
I suppose that having this kind of mentality of people buying locally made products, a positive outcome because not only making the economy better and the people who tends to agriculture not suffer on selling their own product. We are just a bridge on making our local farmers be seen and heard, so I think the government must also support their own fellow people not only buying internationally if the market cannot handle the basic goods which is like happened in the past.
In conclussion, the produce of our fellow farmers in the country is more likely to be bought by the consumers moslty in supporting and promoting. In which helps the economy grow in agriculture and make the price much lower because it is locally made other than that I hope that imported goods that comes in our country will be reversed so that we can largerly export our local products to other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you give support for local farmers as a reason for buying local goods and clearly describe the trend as positive. The Del Monte example also helps make the discussion relevant. However, the explanation of why consumers choose local products is narrow, and the economic effects are asserted rather than fully explained. The opening claim that imported goods make the economy “go bad” is unclear and not supported, while the conclusion introduces exporting local products without showing how this follows from the earlier points. Develop the reasons with clearer cause-and-effect links and explain the benefits and any limitations more fully to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main position is generally positive throughout. Paragraphs mostly focus on related ideas, such as supporting farmers and improving the economy. However, progression within and between sentences is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “Unlike the government makes the economy go bad” does not connect clearly to the preceding point, and “In which helps the economy grow” is an incomplete link in the conclusion. Some connections, including “For example” and “In conclusion,” are useful but do not compensate for unclear relationships between ideas. Make each paragraph develop one central point and use clear sentence links and references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “local farmers,” “imported goods,” “locally harvested fruits,” and “agriculture.” These choices make the subject clear, and the Del Monte example gives you some opportunity to use specific terms. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, such as “buy local produce on the area,” “a continues supply of payment,” and “make the price much lower.” Spelling errors such as “benifit,” “conclussion,” and “moslty” are also noticeable. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Build a more precise set of collocations for discussing consumer choices and economic effects, and proofread spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “Del Monte which is a leading brand” and a conditional idea about the market handling basic goods. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “I think that many individuals wanted to make a change” shifts tense, while “The possible reason of consumers wanted to buy” has an incomplete grammatical structure. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “having this kind of mentality of people buying locally made products, a positive outcome.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense, agreement, articles and punctuation when joining clauses.
