Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some consumers choose the products that produced in local area Rather than the imported goods. I am writing both reasons that why they are choosing local goods Is this trend is positive or negative. Everyone has there own perspective so everyone choose products by there own taste.
Firstly, From my point of view may this is a positive trend because when people use to buy local products by this Country income will increases country will going towards success and i think why majority is choosing local products because they are more cheaper instead of the imported products and in country material is more easily find able because they are made in country there is no wait of shipment.
Secondly, on the other hand if traditional goods having more importance than that of international goods so it may have negative effect on Trading with other countries if the rate of buying locally made products increases than may the relation with other countries may weakness. Moreover, if there are no buyer of imported goods so it may effect the cycle because the person who wants overseas products may have affected. For example locally made chocolate are not enough yummy as considered to the foreign made chocolate so if anybody wants to get that chocolates so what would they do for that because that products are decreasing because the trading with foreigners is going towards downwards.
Overall, with my perspective the hand made products and the other country goods both are equally important and it is also be helpful for country and the people lives in it and it may enhance the relation between other countries

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that local goods may be cheaper and easier to obtain, and you discuss possible effects on trade and international relationships. Your view, however, is not consistently clear. You initially call the trend positive, then focus on negative consequences, and conclude that local and foreign goods are equally important without directly deciding whether the trend overall is positive or negative. The reasons are relevant, but several need fuller explanation. For instance, the claim that buying locally increases national income would be stronger if you explained how it supports local businesses or employment. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and example, and state one consistent overall position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding paragraph. These divisions help the reader identify the main stages of your answer. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the second body paragraph moves from trade relationships to overseas buyers and then to chocolate without clearly connecting these points. Linking phrases such as “on the other hand” are also used where the relationship between ideas is not fully clear. Some references, including “that products,” make it hard to identify what is being discussed. Organise each paragraph around one central reason and use clearer links and references to show how each supporting example relates to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “local products,” “imported goods,” “shipment,” “traditional goods,” and “trading with other countries.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. Examples include “more cheaper,” “easily find able,” “the rate of buying,” and “the relation … may weakness.” The chocolate example is understandable, but “not enough yummy” is informal and imprecise for this essay. Aim to learn topic-related collocations as complete phrases, such as “support local businesses” and “reduce reliance on imports,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if the rate of buying locally made products increases,” and you use basic sequencing to organise your points. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries frequently make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “products that produced in local area” is missing a relative-clause verb and article, while “country income will increases” has problems with the possessive form and verb agreement. The opening also joins several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking that each clause has a subject and correctly formed verb.
