Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, a lot of people tend to buy goods that already exist in their area instead buying the imported ones. I strongly beleive that we should support our local brands. because it will inhance our financial situation. Moreover, It will give a chance for the youth to start their own projects.
Furthermore, buying from local area can save a lot of money that we spend on other goods from outside of the country.
Nevertheless, they will not be in the same quality, but it is a start to develop our products. So that, the government should build more factories and hire more workers for that purpose. It will provide more people with more job apportunities.moreover, we can use the social media to promote these brands, and try to expand their reach in and out of our counrty to buy more. Because it is the newset way for advertisment. In this case we can import our products to the other countries.
However, some woners rise the price of their products more than the impoted ones, the government must control it and add taxes on them to make the balance, and to encurage other people to get their items.
in conclusion, I deeply beleive that we need to stand positively with local projects in our area, build more factories with profissional workers, use social media for advertisment, and try to minimize the obustacles that may face.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that supporting local businesses is positive, and you offer relevant reasons, including improving the economy, creating opportunities for young people and providing jobs. However, the task asks both why consumers are choosing local goods and whether this is a positive or negative trend. Your response focuses mainly on what governments and businesses should do, while the reasons behind consumers’ choices are not clearly explained. The point that local goods may be lower in quality is mentioned but not developed, and the discussion of prices is difficult to follow. The response is also 18 words below the required minimum. Develop the consumer-focused reasons and explain the benefits and drawbacks with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you begin with your position, add supporting points, introduce a contrasting concern with “Nevertheless” and “However,” and finish with a conclusion. However, the progression between ideas is not always clear. For example, the move from local products’ quality to government factories, then social-media promotion and exporting, brings together several points without explaining their links. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “In this case” are sometimes repetitive or do not show the relationship precisely. Paragraphing is also limited, with most ideas crowded together. Use separate paragraphs for reasons consumers choose local goods, the positive or negative effects, and your conclusion; make each paragraph develop one main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main topic, with relevant expressions such as “local brands,” “imported ones,” “factories,” and “promote.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand, including “beleive,” “apportunities,” “counrty,” and “obustacles.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “goods that already exist in their area” is an awkward way to describe locally produced goods, and “stand positively with local projects” does not express your intended support naturally. Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help distinguish locally made products, consumer preferences, employment, and price regulation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors are frequent, and attempts to join ideas often produce faulty sentences. For example, “I strongly beleive that we should support our local brands. because…” incorrectly separates a dependent clause, while “buy goods … instead buying” is missing “of.” The sentence beginning “Nevertheless, they will not be in the same quality” has an unclear reference and an incorrect preposition pattern. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Moreover, It” and the run-on sequence “apportunities.moreover.” Practise complete sentence boundaries, dependent clauses, and accurate preposition patterns, then proofread for capitals and punctuation.
